How to Turn Off AusAlert Notifications on iPhone and Android

Australia’s AusAlert system delivers emergency information directly to compatible mobile devices. While Critical Alerts cannot normally be disabled through standard device settings, users can choose to turn off Priority Alerts if required.

Disable AusAlert on iPhone

  1. Open Settings
  2. Select Notifications
  3. Scroll to the bottom
  4. Select AusAlert
  5. Turn off Priority AusAlert

Disable AusAlert on Android

  1. Open Settings
  2. Select Safety & Emergency
  3. Open Wireless Emergency Alerts
  4. Turn off Priority AusAlert

Depending on your Android device, the setting may appear as:

  • Emergency Broadcasts
  • Severe Alerts
